RARE 8" Japan marked Ladies Headvase MINT
This unique vintage head vase displays prominently standing a full 8" tall, VERY LARGE. She has extremely fair creamy white skin, delicate features, brilliant ruby red lips and lightly blushed cheeks. Her striking hat is a bucket style with a pretty ivory and gold banding and large front bow. Her dress is styled to match her hat, and features a pretty white collar with bright gold trim. Her hand is held in an ultra femine pose with long slender fingers cupped towards her face. Her bright red nails match her lipstick. Her looks is fine sophistocation, and her condition is excellent. She is free from chips, cracks, hairlines and repairs. She does have some florist foam remaining inside. She is inkstamped Japan on her base, and is guaranteed vintage. She is delicate and delightful, polished and poised, and would make an outstanding addition to any head vase collection. This head vase can be found on page 114 of Kathleen Cole's Head Vases Identification and Values Second Edition for $500 and in Dave Barron's Collecting Head Vases page 57 for $350 the year before Kathleen's book came out. So she has increased in value in the last year. Her 7" sister is also listed.
