CONSIGNMENT ITEM: In 1964 Inarco produced a set of 9 gorgeous head vases which are known as the "Costume Ladies". Amongst avid collectors these girls are probably the most sought after of all of the vases produced. Each of the ladies was designed to represent a specific country, which for most of the girls is obvious by their unique style of dress. The country of origin on this particular girl is "The Eskimo Girl". She is wearing a fur lined tan jacket with a hood. The fur of her hood frames her beautiful face with wisps of her long black bangs peaking out. Her upheld hand is covered by a matching tan mitten with a red white and black design on it. She has long beautiful black lashes, deep brandy wine lips and a youthful blushed complexion. At 5-3/4" tall she displays impressively and is truly remarkable! This girl is in mint condition, free of chips, cracks, or hairlines and she has no visible crazing. She has her original faux pearl earrings. She is inkstamped E-1611 Inarco Cleve Ohio 1964 on her base and she has her original Inarco sticker. She's shown in David Barron's 2004 "Collecting Head Vases" on page 118. (SS)
